See me vs Rutgers last weekend... I thought i lost my cooler on the walk back to the car but my gf said I just sat it on the corner of SMU and 75 and said " F*** it!" Then I forced her to stop at burger house and had a triple meat with fries....none of which I remember....
So that's what happened.

And by the way - to get the casual Dallas sports people at our game - we have to give them what they are used to. A more upbeat product, and yes...access to an occasional adult beverage.

If you want to stay home and watch Lawerence Welk, then so be it. We have no choice but to do this if we are going to expand past the 15k loyal fans we have.
Fair analysis, i did think about this when I was discussing with one of my Ranger buddies. I think as long as there are adequate safe guard, i think it will be fine as well. I think the only good comparison between college football and professional sports would be the mavericks. I know they're very rowdy there which that and the fact I don't like basketball is why I don't go to those games. I think Cowboys fans are pretty tamed as I know the ticket complains how quiet they are all the time. Ranger fans, well its baseball, so they're pretty tamed as well. The worst they do is boo or rant at the opposing team no biggie. I think college football can bring the worst out of people, much like the NBA, where people will get into fights or spill crap all over you. Its just my perspective and experiences that I have unfortunately witness happen that gives me this bias. I'm not totally opposed or anything, after all its only cheap beer.

You've obviously never been to a Cowboys game.

The ones who want to drink in the stadium are already drinking there (yours truly included). Making a few bucks on $7 Miller Lites won't change the atmosphere significantly. Hide your kids!!! Single bullet theory.

Selling alcohol at the game really isn't that big of a deal.

Everything is a big deal if we try hard enough to make it a big deal!

The good news is, once this beer thing fails to increase attendance we can stop using it as an excuse.

See: it will only work if we sell beer from specific, local breweries that have integrated our themes into their products.

Yet to see a single person say that.

Just preparing for the inevitable when Miller Lite sales fail to draw an additional 25k loyal fans.

Everyone knows InBev would totally land an additional 25k fans overnight.

I don't see a big attendance boost from beer sales. And you can bet that TABC will be all over the students looking for underage drinkers.,

At the least, it might keep some extra students in the stands who would have otherwise left to get more drinks (which is why no one ever stayed past half time when I was there)

At least with how horrible we play, we can make it back through all the beer sales for people to not wanting to remember the game.
You can get sufficiently drunk on the blvd before farqaud

SMU fans suck. The west side doesn't cheer, gets mad when other stand, and are awful "football" fans. This isn't suppossed to be quiet time with the wife and kids. Ford is mostly dead, it could use some booze to spice it up and make audible noise. I'm tired of it being a boring football environment. If it was an exciting place to be, people would stay longer.

Back during the run for our first bowl game in 2009, it was a lot of fun. Even the little things like making someone do push-ups on the student body when we scored. I MISS FUN
