It's easy when the "participants" keep their big mouths shut! Deny, deny, deny.

When folks tell me about SMU paying players, I respectfully tell them we certainly do not do that now and I can offer definitive proof that we don't pay players.
I simple direct those that want to learn to check our record over the last 25 years as it is proof positive we don't cheat. Then look at the records of those programs found to have cheated since the DP was imposed on SMU. Programs like Alabama, Ohio State. Miami and so forth.

Exactly, and yet we SMU are the butt of the stupid remarks and comments Everytime we start having success...Example? Larry Brown's success in recruiting. Scroll down the comments on any story on LB success, and all you get is stupid jokes saying SMU must be cheating again.
Norm Hitzges did a segment on the Miami punishment this morning, and he said, "the message is clear, Cheat Your Butt Off".

ponyte- we don't need to go so far as OSU and Alabama. Just go down the road to a&m, the whorens, and the razorbacks and you will find the cheating is just as rampant.

They will not investigate the Hogs for a while. They have been out scored 104-0 in 2 games since the opening drive of the South Carolina game.

Which is worse, not cheating and sucking or cheating and still stucking. Although most will never admit it, but maybe Coach Jones is better than some are giving him credit for?

Coach Bielema said that he and his coaches would be on the road the week recruiting hard. He said that he was coming to Texas. Those guys are working hard.

The NCAA is remarkably consistent, admit you screwed up, take responsibility for your actions, clean things up for a while and you will get a slap on the wrist (Ohio State, Miami). Claim you did nothing wrong and turn your nose up at the NCAA, you will get hammered (USC,SMU)
Add Oregon into the cooperation = light penalties pile.
Dunno why people get mad about Manziel. The NCAA literally had nothing other than the word of an often suspect reporter who couldn't even produce the alleged incriminating video. If they had suspended him simply b/c there were tons of his autographs online to buy they would have had to have gone after pretty much every single name player in the NCAA as guys like Teddy Bridgewater, Jadeveon Clowney, and Marcos Mariotta all have plenty of signed merch you can purchase. They weren't about to [deleted] off major schools in every single conference over that.

They are relentless recruiters. Their football recruiting stories sound like our basketball recruiting stories. They start off only going for the best.

With our luck, we would start cheating again, then get caught and not only be the only school to get the death penalty, but be the only one who got it twice....

Worth a shot, like its fun watching this season anyways. I really say go for it and if they shut us down oh well not like we are playing fun teams in the future and when we do they're considered preseason games...

Wacker at TCU admitted everything and they skewered their 'nads anyway.
