Problem is, who gets to define the sin? I may be more libertarian than you.

In fact there is now about an unbroken chain of 33 years with Budget Deficits going down under Democratics and up with Republicans.
I'll just edit out the personal attacks.

If true, good for the Democrats. They'd have my support.

I get to define the sin.

Don't let that interfere with your WDNWHA committee duties.

If weed's ever legalized in TX, perhaps we can bring back Russ Potts to promote getting "High on SMU". And we can trademark our own brand: SensiMUllia, "Peruna Red", "Hilltop Herb", "Ford Turf" for example.

If it is illegal and you do it you deserve a punishment whether you think it's cool or not. There's a rule, you must follow it or accept the consequence if you are caught. Weed, DUI, punching babies etc. All wrong in the eyes of the law.

I get to define the sin.
Well, you did write the second Gospel. So I guess that's fair.

Speeding and littering are against the law. Are they firing offenses?

The current law states that weed is illegal in the Sunshine State.
Coach Pelini, I presume, is an educated and responsible man.
There are consequences for actions/non action when you are in a place of responsibility/leadership.

We can debate the merits of current drug laws ad nausem...it is currently illegal in Florida to possess/consume marijuana. The most libertine here would at a minimum question the competency of a leader(coach) who chooses to flaunt or ignore that or any other law.

I agree, but does Pelini get fired if he gets a DUI instead? Probably not.

In the interest of public safety (and his own safety), I'd rather Pelini hit a joint at a party than drive drunk.

My bases were covered by saying etc. Despite what people think the thing is illegal so they made the bed they have to sleep in it. Just don't use asbestos sheets when you make your bed. They're a little itchy.

Maybe a great storyline for a new series on AMC... The Pelinis or Tackling Bad. The close proximity to Miami and Baton Rouge would help too.
