Finally: depth at the position!"

I agree completely with this. Most consider us lucky to have gotten Severt. And having seen Lamar play, Colbert is by far the best player they had in the last 2 years. Both of them have been done a disservice by the recruiting sites. I don't think we need more than 7 QBs and it looks like most of them can play!

Being done a "disservice" by the recruiting sites doesn't explain the lack of offers. If 120+ FBS coaches didn't want them then they probably can't play.

How have they been done a disservice by the recruiting service? Colbert is a 3 star kid that won the golden gun award. No negative word has been said about them by the recruiting services. Sounds like an anti recruiting services comment to me. They only people that have done them a disservice is the other colleges by not offering them.

Apparently Alamostang has done our 2 QB commits a disservice. He said that we needed Harris.

I'm as optimistic as the next guy, but I don't think the next coach will be turning away players with 4 SEC offers including Bama. I think we could use this kid IMO. I really don't care what ESPN thinks. Saban and Spurrier are both better talent evaluators.

"Can't play" is a bit over the top. However, the other schools feel they have better options for future College QBs. To me this means the chances of Colbert & Severt becoming successful college QBs is lower than others. Again, this comes back to DIR recruiting. The problem with DIR recruiting is only a small percentage of these DIRs will develop into solid college players. This is why we don't have quality depth.

You're right, I should have said "Probably can't play well enough to be a legit player in FBS".

No we took the short guy that accomplished about 1/10th of what this guy did but the guy we took does reportedly run a 4.41 so he's a talented "under the radar" type
