The correct term is a bubba. As in, "Wow, look at that bubba in the pickup with the confederate flag paint job. He must be on his way to the Tech game."
Give people something to yell about, and they will yell on their own. I think organized cheers are kind of "Aggie", and I doubt such will ever be successful at SMU. There is just no Pony tradition of it. But, feel free to start a chant and see who joins you.

Well they are a part of every single college football game I've been to that doesn't involve smu. Guess playing real college football is kinda "aggie".
I do not want organized yells at Moody. I want loud, screaming, stomping, continuous, deafening noise. Football is different and organized yells can work if enough were there to participate.
