that had to get under their skin. Hate it when the opposing team neutralizes the home court - used to happen to us all the time. Would be fun to see a following. There aren't that many SMU alumni, but we usually can travel when we decide to do it. How about getting 200 in Connecticut?

Bringing 8 down to our game @ Uconn (6 SMU fans, 2 Uconn).

On the way back to Dallas my wife and I stopped at Buc-ees (in Madisonville) and the cashier asked us what was up with all the SMU shirts she'd seen today.

I thought it got respectably loud from our section. The people I brought with me were impressed... well they were impressed with the second half.

Very nice road trip.

About how many SMU would you say were there?

That's the most I've ever seen for an SMU basketball game in Houston. I would guess several hundred.

I'm notoriously bad at guessing attendance, but I'd say we had a couple hundred at least. Against a team with better home attendance it might not have stood out, but the Houston crowd was pretty sparse. (My estimate may be low, because I saw SMU fans sitting throughout the arena and quite a few wearing red.) There were definitely enough to make our presence felt; the fans that were there were loud. (Credit to the group in at the front of my section and the upper part of the section next to me in particular.)

Definitely the most I've seen. I have family down there so I've been there for pretty much every weekend away game versus Houston (and Rice) for the past few years. The last years of Doherty I think there were more people wearing SMU on our bench than in the stands.
