Nothing wrong with the scheduling.

It will be a beatdown. But its tough to score 70 against anyone.

They will probably be preseason ranked, between 13-17.
Big 12 will probably see OU, Ok. st., Baylor ranked for sure. Maybe Texas, TCU and Texas Tech getting ranked once they go through their OOC's

Yes, because what we say here has an affect on the players and coaches

I see no problem with saying they'll put up 70. June has never had his team prepared to play opening night since we don't do any kind of hitting in practice. Prepare for missed tackles galore.

That no-hitting bs in practice has got to stop. Everytime we take the field we look disoriented/lost. Year 7, June!

We almost beat UCF with a backup QB that will now have a full Spring practice behind him.

Thankfully I will be drunk and nowhere near Waco to watch this public execution.

Nice to see that the DMN paid this Baylor student 10 bucks for a comprehensive story for their site.

Almost, close, coulda, shoulda, woulda mean nothing. We lost. End of story.

We were 4-4 in a garbage conference. We didn't even play Louisville. We somehow have even less talent than a year ago.

They 2012 SMU team was better and the 2012 Baylor team was worse and they still completely destroyed us.

I know you're a sumshiner, but you have to be kidding me. There is no rational or even sun shiner way other than being delusional to think we win this game.

And just hoping we'd be competitive since June has been around this long, as you have said before, isn't a reason why we will win or even be competitive. We're trending downward at this point.

I've been sitting back watching you guys eat our young. I don't understand how anyone can accurately predict how good or bad this team will be next year with as many question marks remain to be answered. Who is going to be the starting QB? Is it Burcham? If so I remember seeing him with two countable games. The first was not well played. The second showed signs of hope. How can you judge the offense without knowing who is qb and how he will play? As for receivers I think we have more depth than anytime in recent years. But, receiver is still a mystery. I think our running back situation improves. I think O line is another question mark - perhaps not a big a problem as last year at this time. Defensively I think we are improved over most of the field. However, again we find a myriad of question marks. Quite frankly, I knew more about last year's team abilities then I know about this year's.

As for recruiting, I think it is obvious to all that recruiting isn't near what it should be. We've seen enough comments by high school coaches and players to realize that much more could be done. (However, I think this coming class is stronger than most of you do.) But, it is just as obvious that the players that do commit are well coached. Too many Ponys go to the pros for that not to be accurate. By the way, SMU is not alone. There are a number of other schools that do not recruit well and put good teams on the field. Wisconsin and Kansas State come to mind.

The trick is to recruit well and coach well. If JJ would do that I think he could get SMU back in the 10 win per year column. That being said, I check back with you when we know more about our team. In the meantime, I will sit back and watch you guys tare my thoughts apart and devour our young.
