Do you mean the MWC? I think we can all agree we don't want to go back to the WAC. The boxing matches at the end of their basketball games are interesting though.

The WAC no longer exists so it is pretty clear he meant the MWC.

All the more reason to pick the AAC

Old WAC / New MWC, it is all interchangeable to me, but yes, I should have said MWC.

Sorry, I meant to say the WAC no longer exists as a football conference.

I think we all knew what you meant. I've noticed people like to correct others on here a lot for misspeaking on something minute. Not to call out the poster that did it in this thread but a lot do it.

wow, what a timeline of schools
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Western_At ... Conference

just having hawaii & san jose st in the MWC kills it for me. We should play New Mex in hoops

I think from a purely basketball/RPI standpoint, it's an extremely intriguing league. If SMU join the league for example, I think it's about a guaranteed 5 bid league a year with some very tough teams. Obviously a very down year for the league overall this year though. At the same time, without Louisville, the AAC would have 4 bids this year and if you took away SMU, both leagues would be at 3 bids this year. So I guess I'm trying to say that SMU rising up really helps whatever conference they're in outside of the big 5 or whatever you want to call them at the moment.

the MWC probably seems a bit more stable. Fball rules the game but I see what you are saying. But as others have mentioned, I just think Uconn and Cinn are stuck for now.

East coast over west coast every time.. Those late games get no publicity - I prefer that east coast media bias to the deafening silence that comes out of the MWC or PAC12 hoops coverage.
