No reason to tell them this! Let them have 213...

Sec. 214 is my normal ticket section...I'll try to get down there and be as loud as possible. I really hate this GA stuff. This'll be worse that going to a movie theatre the day after Christmas.

Over on Tiger Droppings, they seem to think that Moody will be mainly LSU fans and very few SMU fans. I do hope we bought enough tickets to ensure home court advantage.

We have approx. 4,500 season tickets (and partial season packages) sold this season where people had right of first refusal on their seat (or GA ticket as it were). I have heard that these were almost 100% renewed for LSU. There is no way LSU comes close to outnumbering us. When they come, they come loud, but they will be factually outnumbered.
The 4,500 number above is exclusive of the approximate 1,500 seats held by the school which is comprised of student and faculty tickets with the balance being comprised of seats for family members, recruits, local celebrities, etc.
The expectation for next season is that Moody is sold out by season ticket holders alone. The only way we would not have a sellout would be if student sections aren't utilized.

This
I only have 2 season tickets, but got 5 for this game. So I don't think we have anything to worry about.

My experience. ...a few loud visitors make the home team's fans even louder.
Bring it

How difficult would it be to remove or change all section 214 signage ?

LSU won't even come close to half of the crowd...It's not even a question. This is not football at SMU...They will have 400-800 out of 7100.

I'd be willing to make a wager that more than 1/7 of the crowd is going for LSU on Monday night

4500 season tix, id guess 4000 renewed for the game. Add in maybe 1k other smu fans, plus 1k students and I'd expect maybe 500 lsu fans. Not loud enough to have any impact on the game, but big enough to make our crowd cheer louder. Perfect

Season ticket holders did not get a chance to renew for this game. That doesn't happen until Game 3 (if we get there). For this game and the UCI game, STHs had to buy tickets with the rest of the populace

Season ticket holders were given a right to "renew" their tickets, not necessarily their seats.

There is no way LSU fans outnumber SMU fans at Moody. It's a testament to how much a stronger school SMU is if LSU fans actually think this. Right off the bat SMU is spotted an almost 2k advantage in the lower bowl and loge areas as those were all purchased by SMU season ticket holders and students (I confirmed today with my ticket rep that not a single reserved seat went to the public).
My guess is there will be between 500-1500 LSU fans. They will make some noise and be seen but they will largely be drowned out in a sea of Red and Blue and all the noise closest to the court will be pro SMU.
