I hope he coaches 3-5 years and we have a lot of success.

And like I said earlier, if we're respectable this year there will be high expectations next year with almost all of the offense and the majority of the defense returning .
This.
Even some of the sportswriters say that we should be a 7 win team (more of the same with June) and that our 2015 squad should be much improved. I think the surprise we have seen in recruiting is the tip of the iceberg from what we will see this year in the field. It will not surprise me if we win 8 games and this being a beat TCU year.

And the freakin beer, don't forget.
Also it's [deleted] that I go to Rally House and they don't have our flag in the front or put more SMU merchandise out there. They said that SMU is "tight" with their licensing. SID if you read this can this be addressed?

This year's wins total won't dictate an extension. He is entering the first year of a 3 year deal, right?
Regardless of who likes him and who doesn't, it's not about a contract for JJ. He has his contract. He might want another, but his deal isn't up this year.

It's a lie that's been debunked by our SID several times. They just don't think our alumni will buy enough merch to be worth it. What irks me is that they have very poor quality "test" merch which of course doesn't sell well, so it re-enforces their belief. Put Nike or higher quality gear out and more will sell. Meanwhile TCU and Baylor have walls and walls of options...Nike has been better to them.

Exactly.
Of course, the same can be said about our own online store. I check 3-4 times a week and they never have anything new I want to buy. Really annoys me too because I would.

Are you high? Please go back and find the last time SMU drew 28K for a conference game. I think you might have to go back to the SWC days

You said "decent" crowds. TCWho had around 35K in for conference games at the MWC against crappy competition. If we have a 4-0 start this year I can guarantee you we may sell out.
