This was the most difficult decision the WDNWHA Committee has ever had to make.
Mudiay could've been a killer on defense. Length to guard the 2s and agility/quickness to guard the 1s.
God speed with the vote.
Yes, I think he would have been a really good defensive player.
"We will play man to man and we will pick you up at the airport." - Larry Brown
Did not mean to imply he would not, just that I did not know. My main point is that our defense will help us stay in games with or without him. Getting the ball down the court would be nice also.
All those who believe in psycho kinesis, raise my hand
That guy will be in the NBA in 12 months, and it will physically painful every time we watch him play.
The reason I am disappointed but not depressed is that we have a program on a giant upswing. Sure this is a setback - but let me tell you there will be others down the road. This is what happens with programs that operate at the top of the heap.
Give me this kind of disappointment over watching Doherty foot stomp any day. Ready to see this team play nonetheless. It will be a great year.

Not funny mark. Too soon.....
BOP - Providing insensitivity training for a politically correct world since 1989.
Now we know how Maryland felt when Moses Malone turned pro.
I'm disappointed and wish we had another point guard, but E-Man has been positive towards SMU in every comment and raised the profile of the program, so I wish him luck and hope to see him adding to the celebrity quotient at Moody when his future NBA schedule allows.
We will still be a fun and entertaining team to watch, just not one that has a good shot of advancing in the tourney (if we are fortunate enough to make it that far)... Just sux cause with the football situation, and no baseball, I'll start the countdown to 11/2015!!! With the SMU curse, we will probably find out 10/15 that Larry Brown retires effective immediately.
At least I have ol reliable... Fantasy Football and World Champion Spurs Basketball.
Rangers,Poines, Cowboys... Ol reliable in other ways... Maalox Monents.
"I'm a little different than your normal Texas coach, but I get it done, and we win."
From the moment he committed on TV I had THAT FEELING that he would not play for SMU. "That Feeling" are some of the lyrics in one of my songs on one of my records. "That feeling, well, it's gone. It didn't stick around for very long." And some more....
I'm very upset about the lack of true PG and so it goes....
Mudiay is not strong defensively at least right now based on what I've seen-said the same thing about Frazier after watching him play 2 games in high school. I think he really could have used a Larry Brown defensive tutorial because I doubt he's ever played real defense in his life
"With a quarter of a tank of gas, we can get everything we need right here in DFW." -SMU Head Coach Chad Morris
When momentum starts rolling downhill in recruiting-WATCH OUT.

Agree completely. One season with LB would have been huge for his development as a pro particularly on the defensive side of things. It will be interesting to see what happens to him over seas and what happens to him in the NBA draft.
Yep, battered wife syndrome is the mentality of any long suffering SMU fan.
I too am always waiting for the other shoe to drop when we get good news on the athletic front.
But - looking back- we are light years better in BBall and we have great momentum behind the program. Not to mention David Miller who remains committed to having a quality program.
I'm very disappointed because I was so looking forward to seeing an NBA highlight reel play in the cozy confines of Moody.
But we will be good and I think still tournament bound - which I will attend regardless of location. I saw 2-3000 SMU fans in New York and thought - Wow!
