for such a small state, SC does a nice job with H.S. football, too. Fry played for legendary Coach John McKissick at Summerville...the all-time most winning H.S. coach in history...still coaching at age 87!!!

Argh! Wish he would've made last week's game between Gilmer/Gladewater instead of Gilmer/Atlanta.
Never seen opposing fans take over Lobo Stadium like GW/GM did. But Gladewater is a whole lot better than Atlanta.

Navasota/Henderson play tomorrow (Saturday, Lufkin at 2 pm), so tonight our Upward church bball games are being played instead of Saturday morning. A VERY well connected P5 school supporter just sidled up to me and said he liked the OLD SMU (last 7 years) recruiting style better than the current coaching staff. Seems we have swayed one of theirs out of the "fold"...didn't mention who.
Almost felt like 35 years ago...
