Re: HCCM Honoring all commitments
Now back to the subject of this thread.
HCCM Honoring all commitments, the question is: How many offers have been pulled to make room for the new offers this staff is making? Honor the commitments, but is there any need to honor offers?

Once was going through a report with a consulting firm (won't say who but it's abbreviation is "EY") and had the following exchange:Stlhockeyguy02 wrote:If you've ever read a Gov't Accountability Office report, you know that everything -- everything -- must be an acronym. HCCM and HCLB or kittens will die.
Me: It says, "Established TLA for reporting purposes related to..." What is "TLA?"
Them: TLA is an abbreviation for "Three Letter Acronym."

I am a first time poster here who hasn’t lived in the USA since June took over. So take my comments with the grain of salt they are worth. However, I cant help but think that Coach Morris’ decision to honor the commitments might have something to do with the past regime. If I remember right, June pulled a few offers just before his first signing day and that upset a number of HS coaches. Coach Morris was a Texas High School coach then and it’s possible he remembers some of the backlash and wants to avoid the same especially with all his talk of building relationships.
Also, a thank you everyone at Pony Fans for all your commentary over the years. It has kept me informed about what’s going on at SMU and I really appreciate it.

Very similar to sitting in on an operational briefing in the military. We have acronyms for acronyms and random sayings for everything. For instance, JJ, the ROAD scholar, took FNG's and SB's and turned moderated mediocrity into a soup sandwich. Punched out after he jumped the chain before tanking his fitrep with a 2.0.Stlhockeyguy02 wrote:If you've ever read a Gov't Accountability Office report, you know that everything -- everything -- must be an acronym. Coach "honoring all commitments" but not hesitating to recruit over guys so they might reconsider whether they really want to come to SMU
Re: HCCM Honoring all commitments
No. If the kid has not committed to smu, there is no need to honor an offer. The deal is simple: you commit now, we hold a spot for you. If you wait, we may fill up at your position.DiamondM75 wrote:Now back to the subject of this thread.
