Unless TCU is going to schedule 3 P5 teams OOC (which they're not) we make more sense than anyone for them. Maybe BYU because they have some history w them as well but what does TCU get out of playing them?
Del Conte said about a year ago that he and patterson liked scheduling one P5 team, SMU, and an FCS team for their three OOC games. As was said here, if they want to beef up their SOS going forward they would replace the FCS school before us

As one who has watched and enjoyed the SMU/TCU rivalry for many years, I hope it continues forever. It's not just Dallas/FortWorth. It's also two schools not too far and not too different from one another. There have been some great games, and the difference in win/loss records over these many years isn't very great. So here's one vote (not that it's ever counted) for continuing the rivalry.

Pretty much my thoughts. While SMU is struggling I'd like to see us play BYU (in Arlington only), a MWC team, or a Texas FBS squad instead of FCS. Once Morris has SMU back on its feet then being back the FCS game if need be.

You should post more FB. Your posts on KF are just as fair and balanced (at least ones I've read). A fan trade may be in the works...
Thanks. I no longer post on KF.c as Frog Barrister. That site is largely crap. I prefer
http://www.thefroghorn.com now.
I like the tradition and rivalry of playing SMU. Think it'd be cool if both teams wore their home uniforms for the games, SMU in blue of course. Maybe one day things will change to where playing SMU no longer makes sense, but it's not even a debate worth having from my perspective as long as TCU is still scheduling FCS teams.
And great HC hire. I'm looking forward to the improved competition and the rivalry heating back up.
Time to 'fess up, Barrister. You obviously have an "interest" in the new foghorn.com. As a Barrister, full disclosure should be familiar to you.
Geno, this is probably not the place to discuss it, but I have a very good friend that is one of the ones that started The Frog Horn. All I can say is what he told me. There was a conflict with one of the owners but he prefers it not be made public. He and others don't charge to be a member and there are no ads. They foot the costs themselves and are not concerned that there aren't a ton of members. Trolls are not tolerated. They enjoy their little board. You probably wouldn't.
