Re: Chad President
I don't think he is just going to follow the OC to Tulsa.
I also doubt Morris promised anyone about not recruiting multiple QBs.
This is all going to depend on who transfers out. Severt, Davis, and Colbert are coming back and we have the frosh. We also know that CM things Davis is legit, because Davis is hosting players on visits. If both Burcham and Cassell leave, then we are going to pick up another QB so that we have 5 on campus.
If I am Burcham, though, there is no way I transfer. I have a scholie to a great school, and nobody decent is going to pick me up coming off of elbow surgery. Maybe I transfer next year after I am healthy, but not now. That would put us a 5 scholarship QBs. Are we really going to go with 6?

Are we really going to let Neal Burcham prevent us from bringing in more talent at QB?

Re: Chad President
I always thought that Chad would be a better WR than Qb at the college level...he was a great wideout his sophomore year when Zach Allen (TCU backup qb) was a senior.
I'd really like to see us try to go after Marques Hatcher (2nd String RB - 6'0" - 200 lbs runs 4.5) and Davion Curtis (WR) from Temple.
Temple's starting RB is good too but is VERY small; however very quick.
I know some of Chad's family and wherever he goes he wants to play QB.
*EDIT: Listened to the radio link after I posted this... didn't mean to reiterate it.

Orangebloods reporting that President has stated "Tulsa, Houston, Tech, and SMU" are the schools he is currently considering.

I'm sure eastern Washington would love to see how much production they can squeeze out of yet another Jones qb

Besides, I'm not sure if he actually had that injury. Kinda like how kp mysteriously hurt his back the season he got benche . I'd want my eligibility back from this year too

Re: Chad President
From what I saw this past season, we don't really have ANY QBs (and only one serious prospect) on the roster. Seeing as how we need to find a leader for this offense, spending an open scholarship on another talented QB prospect would seem like a smart move.

Thank you for your breath of sanity. We have about 3-4 QBs that don't fit. They need to decide to transfer or find another position where they can contribute because the position they were recruited for no longer exists. Hey no reason a decent QB prospect can't play another position-maybe even a different position he has never played before. It actually has been a success many times

Rivals has him ranked as the #200 RECRUIT IN THE COUNTRY. If he has any interest at all in SMU you pursue him. There is no reason to not go after him. We need a playmaker at QB and he has a very good chance to be that.

I thought that for a while, too. But I don't think they would have announced that he had surgery. He would have just had a mystery injury....
I'd love to have another high profile QB in here to compete for the job, but it just seems that if we are changing both the offensive and defensive schemes, we need all of the scholarships we can get. And having 6 QBs on scholarship (actually 7 with Krstic?) seems like way too many. I don't think CM will hesitate to push guys from california out the door, but Arkansas might be too close for comfort for recruiting reasons...

Burcham or Cassel might be able to help us at corner?

Re: Chad President
Give Burcham a chance to decide. I would imagine he knows what is going on. If he wants to play he will leave soon and might go to one of the smaller division Arkansas schools. Or he may like SMU and stay for the education and see if he can contribute in some way. I do not visualize him as anything but a QB so his options should be pretty clear.
