Pettigrew had a handful of facemask and pushed off prior to Hitchens making contact with him. Also, the ball was severely underthrown. Probably should've been offsetting penalties (facemask and PI) but it didn't work out that way for Detroit. They had their share of the breaks as well like the unbelievable call against T Williams for offensive PI in the first half and the EXTREMELY soft running into the kicker call that kept a Detroit touchdown drive alive.
It comes down to this. Losers whine about calls. Winners move on to round two. Detroit had every opportunity after that penalty to keep the game in their hands. They didn't. Losers find others to blame when they wet the bed.

That explains all of the whining around here from Cowboys fans over the past 15+ years, at least.

Yup. Absolutely. In past years Dallas has whined about the scheduling in December, road night games, officiating, etc. All that matters is that they were 8-8.
Detroit had every opportunity after the flag/no flag controversy. They decided to punt on fourth and one (mistake), then had the worst punt of the NFL season (mistake), gave up a fourth and six (mistake), gave up a touchdown throw on third and 7 (mistake), Stafford fumbled (mistake), and they were gifted the ball back by Lawrence, only to have Stafford fumble again (mistake).
If they erase even one of those mistakes they win the game. Cry me river. Enjoy your last playoff win being with H.W. Bush was still in the White House and your terrible economy.

Cowboy haters no longer have the incredibly stupid "Romo can't come through in a big game" diatribe so obviously it was a penalty call with nearly 8 minutes left in the fourth quarter when the Lions had a lead in Cowboys territory that lost them the game.
Haters gonna hate. Most fans are stupid. This is nothing new.

Badass, I would have fumbled that ball even if the tackle was half as hard.

i would have never caught it and if i had i would have fallen down.
back to beasley. he has become a nice addition for the cowboys. he rarely drops a ball. i would like to see romo throw deep to him every now and then but he has become a possession receiver which is not a bad thing.

I caught a touchdown on a hook route in the Richardson Corporate Challenge.
Highlight of my life. Also those two boxing matches I won.
