Put a few thousand SMU fans in there...no matter how close the game that will make good video for sportscenter and a great talking point for Gameday.

SMU is not in a position financially to throw 10K at something like that at all (insurance, tickets, us prices, administrative cost to organize a "fair" give away for tickets). What SMU should be doing is focusing on the thousands of Alumni i'm sure live in the Houston area and get them to turn out. if we get 1k in to the stadium we will will take it over.

An alum just donated (and I kid you not) $40,000 so one of the commons could throw a Mardi Gras party. If they realllly wanted to get it done, they could get it done

well, they are getting better. I would take the 57-44 score Tulsa put on them.

I'm sure we will hear more excuses why we can't do other things like this. Same number of busses for a frat or sorority crush party downtown, probably about 3x the cost, and people think it is too expensive. What is expensive and costly is not fostering that spirit and student/program relationship that creates that year-round atmosphere following every sport. Not creating that bond between the average student and alumni that gets them to the games and means we don't have to worry about attendance at moody during christmas break games or at football games anywhere within a 4 state radius. But hey, why do everything to grow the future of the program when 75% is just fine?!?

my theory is trying to hurt greek life. The dorms are becoming pseudo fraternities but SMU controls it all.

When I was @ SMU, I rode a chartered bus to austin for a football game. Don't remember if it was chartered by the school or dorms.
The only info I have seen for the uh game is to sit in/as close to 109 as possible. Nothing else.
