True, but there's an argument to be made that if HCCM is sitting in front of a recruit's parents trying to convince them to send their son to SMU to play football, why should they trust him if he doesn't send his own kid to SMU?

It is his alma mater. And it's not his choice- it's his daughter's choice.

Let's be honest - that's where he will probably be going to in 3-6 years should he make SMU into a championship contender and should coach sumlin move to the NFL. So let's just enjoy the ride and not concern ourselves where his daughter has chosen to attend college.

Even though that school is terrible and the town of college station is quite possibly the ugliest place I've ever been. Why anyone would choose to spend any time there at all let alone 4 years is beyond me.

I get what you're saying, but I'm confident Chad Morris could easily handle that one. The schools are not (generally) competing for the same recruits and even when they are (hopefully) the differences between the two schools/campuses are significant enough to provide plenty of talking points.

And let's not forget, try as we might to ignore this fact, if Chad ever has a shot at the Texas A&M head coach position, he's gone. (And that's not a bad thing, because it probably means he did quite well by SMU.)

This whole stupid fake argument is ODD
PLUS its none of any of YOUR business
PLUS even if it was YOUR business a perfectly good reason has been given for her attending Texas A&M.

Forget about the good reasons, just having to listen to people complaining about the FB program after a few losses would be enough of a reason for me.

I question anyone's intelligence who goes to atm or allows their child to attend such a place. HCCM is just going to have to bring us a national championship to win me back. Preferably in the Rose Bowl.

drove by it a few minutes ago...I agree with your post completely...it is an eclectic hodgepodge of buildings that looks like Tech/TCU, without the benefit of Lubbock or Ft. Worth.

The school itself has many worthy academic portions...the cult of Aggieland, meh, not so much.

Like I originally said, I'm inclined to agree that it's not mine (or anyone else's) business. But SMU launched this new website to promote SMU's football program, and it's got a repost of a public post on social media promoting another university. I don't think that looks good.

This is the first time anyone in history has ever mentioned Lubbock as a "benefit"

Wow, if that isn't the ultimate indictment of College Station I don't know what is!

More importantly, how's he going to explain away the "My daughter and my money both go to aTm" bumper sticker on his car?
