Well, it's been forever since there was actually something to play for in the finale. Understandable why people might wanna hold off on seeing JMM and KD on the court for the tip.

Wouldn't that be amazing?

Brown will start the seniors. It is in his DNA.

I would actually like to see CC start with RM and YM. JMM and KM, though, will get torched on the defensive side (keeping their man in front of them) which could lead to some early fouls by our bigs unfortunately.

Anyway, if I were LB, I'd ask them ("Hey, want to start? I'd definitely start you if you want." And then let them decide). I could live with JMM and KM starting for a minute or 2 depending and it would be the "right thing" to do most probably.

If we get the tip (usually we do not) let RM drive to the rim and either get fouled, get blocked, or score. If Houston gets the tip or a blocked shot, then guard close man to man and foul. When play is stopped you sub in the starters. In the very worst case scenario, we are behind 3-0 which has happened often, and the seniors have had their glory. I bet in the majority of our games this year we have trailed after the first points were scored.

If Houston gets the tip, we are in the wrong place.

You are the most astute poster on this board, so of course I read every word you post.

Early in the season we won just about every tip - but yeah, lately we can't seem to win one.

I always think it's better to lose the tip and play great defense for the first possession so you have the arrow anyway.

We got every tip until we did not get them anymore.
