I encourage everyone not to overvalue our performance vs Baylor. UNT will have film and won't be expecting total garbage like Baylor was

Reiterating this. We could certainly struggle or lose even if we are twice as good as last year

But NTSU has not yet played and thus not had a chance to correct those first game errors.
Never underestimate your opponent but I firmly believe having a game under our belt outweighs the film advantage.

I just hope to avoid the insane melt down if we lose

There will be no avoiding that.

NTSU lost every road game last year by double digits except one (a 7 point loss at UTSA). They also lose four of their five starting offensive linemen from last year. McNulty, their QB, is mediocre at best. After the world class speed/size combinations we saw last week against Baylor this will be a most welcome change for our defense. Also, the weather should be significantly cooler and we won't wear down like we did late in the third quarter and fourth quarter against a breakneck speed offense like Baylor.
As long as we don't kill ourselves with turnovers and penalties we should win this game. The team should be buoyed by a terrific 3 quarters against the #4 team in the nation and getting to see their successes/mistakes on film. It is always tricky starting the season on the road also (regardless of how hostile or non hostile an environment).
SMU 35
UNT 21

I could see that score you predict smt but I think one more TD, maybe from Colbert in junk time.

nothing I saw against UNT changes my opinion. I don't see us winning a road game so we have to be tough at Ford. Be competitive against TCU!

We've beaten TCU before against all odds...both here and in FTW. I look forward to seeing us ruin their season again in the near future.

I stand firmly with my prediction that we will play 12 games this season.

Come on now, we all know that's a bit outrageous.

I think CP has it about right. Anything beyond four wins will be the result of hard work by players and coaches both - and likely Matt Davis not going down as well.

Honestly, I just don't look at a single remaining game (including James Madison) and quickly say "win". Do I think they win at least 2-3 more, yes. I'm just not sure I see 5 more wins, especially if Davis or Sutton get hurt. I think SMU gets taken down pretty easily by TCU, Houston, Temple, and Memphis and the rest are toss-ups.
