Each game is its own. Don't really care what Lamar did against Baylor. That had nothing to do with Baylor-SMU. People forget also that Minnesota fumbled going into the end zone against TCU to take points off the board. Could've been a much different game if that doesn't happen. Minnesota is a middle of the road Big 10 team with a subpar offense.
SMU can move the ball and score on TCU.

And a special thank you to the previous regime who allowed the largest points spread (56) in the Battle of the Iron Skillet...all-time...largest point spread. Nowhere to go but up!

Since G. Patterson said he wouldn't help SMU football again, after TCU's lose to us at Amos Carter stadium; I say lets not help them ever again. Eat More Frog Legs !

Oddly enough that'd probably be the soonest that an upset of that degree could really be pulled off. But crazier thnigs have indeed happened

Forget basic logic and realism folks. I would rather pick and choose the trend to support my hypothesis:
Starting in 1984, consecutive wins are as follows:
3 wins SMU, 3 wins TCU
2 wins SMU, 2 wins TCU
1 win SMU, 1 win TCU
1 win SMU, 1 win TCU
Starting in 2000 (opening of Ford causes new pattern), consecutive wins are as follows:
5 wins TCU, 1 win SMU
4 wins TCU, 1 win SMU
3 wins TCU, ? win SMU
My theory is based on a reducing margin. So we will win this year, 2018 and 2020.
