Joshua Shelmire picked up a Stanford offer, and Harrison Barton recently added offers from Purdue, Minnesota and Tulane.

Both said they remain firmly committed to SMU.

Good deal-those are Barton's first P5 offers-Shelmire previously had a Northwestern offer. Glad to see I'm not the only one thinking their videos were outstanding although private school kids can be tricky

I remember the article but not sure it was a definite offer. The guy I think should have gotten plenty of more offers at least G5 is Jordan Ward. He looks more like a P5 LB than all the others. I'm a little insulted others don't see what I do

Shelmire getting a Stanford offer is big time.

Eric Sutton is the guy I think should've garnered some P5 attention. A buddy of mine was at the SMU camp where Sutton got his offer and the entire staff was gushing about his ability. They were amazed he hadn't been offered by half the Big 12.

no doubt his cover skills are outstanding but as Zach Farrar showed in the playoffs he would have some trouble in a P5 conference against the taller receiver. Even in that game Sutton was all over Farrar the entire game but Farrar was able to use his size and strength to make at least 2 big catches in heavy coverage
