Wow, someone finally pulled the tampon out and responded to an honest question instead of taking offense from some perceived slight.

Would be great to find the one rare gem that can beat out competition and solid starters to get a spot as a freshman, but the program isn't there. Instead, we just pine for that level of consistency from returning starters.

No matter...another watt of lumens as the future continues to grow brighter.

I think that HCCM would like to redshirt him but if Mclaurin is ready to play they may have no choice but to play him and not redshirt him.

SMU has played 21 freshman (10 True, 11 RS) this year and there will be more next year especially on defense because the talent in this Class especially on defense is much better than both the 2015 Recruiting Class and SMU's returning defensive players plus there are some redshirt freshman like the Scott brothers, Jordan Williams, Rodney Clemons (medical redshirt) that are going to contribute as well. The 2016 Class is solid and most all of them are coming in physically capable of playing immediately. We are looking at another 20+ freshman contributing next year especially at every position on Defense. Morris will look to those 40-45 freshmen/sophomores to be the core of the rebuild and hopefully by 2018 we'll have 16-18 starters from those classes with 32 of so Junior/Senior lettermen. That's the goal

If you want to get technical lumens are more like volume units of light not brightness. Footcandles would be brightness.

He might have to push past Biggers on the depth chart to push for PT and not get redshirted. If he plays over Gentry, Minor, Green, Hollie, or Biggers that will be impressive for a freshman.

all 5 of those DTs have COMBINED for 1 Tackle for loss and ZERO sacks. I don't think there is going to be a single returning starter whose job is safe next year-maybe Justin Lawler and Darrion Richardson-maybe

Lawler will be tough to move out of his spot, especially if he continues to develop and improve

I thought Biggurs was playing DE. But I could see him playing DT if he added some weight.

They even had Bo Antunovic playing on the defensive line today in the game.
