Chow hired Mason because JJ made the call to Chow ... JJ knew what was potentially on the horizon, and so did Mason. Chow has a great turnaround season and stays, no problem for Mason.. . Mason knew this deal with Chow that just went down was always a real possibility this year. He did not go out to the Islands in the blind.
