The man sent us to 4 bowl games in a row. No other post DP coach got us to one. Most of us weren't here until June was. He left us in a terrible position, but it wasn't all bad. No one else would've done what he did for $2mm per year

I was almost on your side until you threw that line out there...

For $2MM per year, we deserved his best. We didn't even get his 90% effort.
Hiring him was like sleeping with a girl with crabs. It's all fun and games until ...

Re: ESPN: June frontrunner for Hawaii HC
Digetydog, i think I just lost 1 day off my life for laughing at that...classic. Can't use that in a sermon, but...
June did indeed do what no other coach did here post DP...he took us to 4 bowls in a row. He also did what no coach did here post DP: he quit on his job and his team.
I wish him well. I would not hire him for a job, based solely on his conduct here.
No integrity. No trust=No job

Boy do I think that is a mistake in this environment. Unless they already have a guy marked, which I doubt.

Might as well get it over with. No sense in bringing him back as a lame duck just because this year's coaching carousel is a little crowded.

If June really ends up back at Hawai'i you have to admit it will be interesting to see how the Rainbow Warriors do in the next few years.

He will probably do pretty well because he wants to be there and will give it his all. But we have more issues to deal with than worrying about how he will do at Hawaii like dealing with the mess he left us at SMU.
