His facial expressions from that game were epic.

....and his Mexican special teams coach in front of him. That staff had to be one of the all time worst in college football history!

Herman starting at UH is good for the AAC, as are the other teams ranked this season in the conference that keep their coaches. Need to keep the talent in the conference if possible. Rising tide...boats...uniform...etc.

Do you guys think Richt woul consider an AAC post, Like Memphis? It might be a lower pressure gig for him. He looked burned out in the presser today, but he said that he wanted to continue coaching.

He went 145-51 in the SEC. He could, at the very least, get a low end P5 job.

Low end P5 gig = High end G5 gig = neither are going to a national title game
That being said, Richt will end up in Miami most likely.

You sure are betting your marbles on Iowa making the playoffs lol

Iowa is a middle of the road team in the Big Ten west. Top dogs in that division are Wisconsin and Nebraska, with Northwestern, Iowa and Minnesota being Middle of the pack. Purdue and Illinois are the low tier.

Don't be so asinine. Only if they win against Sparty. My point is that your whole only the blue bloods will ever be "allowed" (I still can't believe you literally said allowed) to be in the playoff argument is ridiculous. Does it help? Of course eyeballs help. But if they go undefeated as big 10 champs, they will be in the playoff as a "middle of the road" job/team. Any P5 school will always have a shot. You just have to run the table.

There are some unwritten rules which the real big dogs and the committee follow...and that is, the CFP organization is owned by ESPN and ESPN wants the biggest names in the 4 team config. That is why TCU (which only lost to a top 5 team by 3 points, on the road, had an almost perfect resume) was left out in favor of Ohio State which had an embarrassing loss at home vs VT. The computer was too risky and it would allow teams they didnt want in the title game (dangerously close in 2010 with undefeated TCU from MW). Committee is there to make sure the real big dogs (Alabama, Auburn, Clemson, Georgia, Oregon, USC, UCLA, Florida, FSU, Michigan, Michigan St, OSU, Oklahoma, LSU, Texas, Nebraska, Virginia Tech, Texas A&M) are in playoffs. If in some year there was to be a one off, they may let a 2nd tier in there.. (Texas Tech, Wisconsin, Okla St, TCU, BU, Utah, etc.) Of course you want to prevent a 2nd tier team in the playoff but to prevent outrage you have the consolation bowls, NY6 bowl games for them to go....that is why TCU and Baylor were sent to play there instead of the playoff...they were both good enough to play there.

How did you come up with Virginia Tech as first tier, and Wiscosin is 2nd tier? Virginia Tech is not that far removed from the Big East...
