Way to go team!
I never thought we'd win after losing Sterling last night. He's the glue that holds that offense together a lot of the time. Was definitely bummed through most of the second and pretty much called it when we went down by 7. Can't be more proud to have been wrong.
Nights last night are the reminders of how lucky we are to have this team, coach, and environment. It makes the raised ticket prices completely worth it
Playing with the alumni/student band, it was crazy-hurting-ears-loud. My immediate thought on the last time it reached that decibel level was the Nic gold versus Cal.
One post/thread mentioned llcoolj's song. I was waiting for that song to end to start a "moody magic" chant but never got the opportunity. I think that would have been epic to end on that chant right before Varsity was played.

Shhhhhh! Well I guess it would be hard to be priced out of 202
Oh and a shout needs to go out to the 60/70-ish lady in front of us that was clapping and giving pony ears for the majority of the second half. Beats the odd stares that the 10yr old girl was giving me for yelling and clapping in an attempt to energize the upper deck crowd in 209/210.
I love everyone today. I'm beyond proud of how this is all going down. The fans, the community, the team and the character of the individuals. It's all very special.
I live about 5 hrs from Orlando. My kids are SMU hoops zealots, little girls 6 & 8. The AAC tourney accompanied by multiple theme park days has been on the books forever. Then, the sanctions. Told my girls SMU wouldn't be playing and they sobbed, didn't even want Disney.
Last night, about an hr after their bedtime, my eldest daughter opens her bedroom door and asks the score. I told her SMU was down too much w/too little time. That these are tremendous kids who gave everything they had, but they are tired. She asked if she could watch the last 4 minutes of the undefeated season and get her sister. I'm a sap for making memories w/my kids, cause at the end of the day, being a Dad is all that really matters to me. Sure, I say and they both come down and sit next to me on the couch. We sat there for 2 seconds before all 3 of us were standing and yelling.
After the game, I take them back to bed to tuck in, and my youngest says "We should go to Orlando, go to that tournament, and wear our SMU clothes.' I ask her why and she says 'b/c we're the best, need to remind them.'
Moody Magic indeed. Thanks for the memories, good people
