I'm starting to think that the real problem with our fanbase are the deluded people who are quick to point fingers at everyone else. This program has gone from crowds measured in the hundreds to having one of the best atmospheres in college basketball in a few short years, but here we are complaining because the student section was a bit sparse.

Against ECU. When we have no chance of making the tournament and aren't going to win the conference. Really?

Building a program is a long road. Let's not forget that we're still at the "building a program" stage. We're years away from the point at which we're going to have a packed house against ECU. The long-range trend suggests, at the moment, that we're headed in that direction, but come on guys... I can't believe you're already taking this for granted.

It's like the ridiculous reaction to that UCF game a few years back. The PonyFans echo chamber was shocked, just shocked, that the Dallas community didn't rally around SMU after their first win against a relevant opponent in a decade.

I talked to one of the swimmers that was honored at halftime. He left after halftime. While he was competing he missed two majors exams that he had to make up Monday, and on top of that he also had a paper due. I bet most of them had a ton of make up work. But, he should of worn red or blue.

Swimmers got spunk... they've always been spirited... it's what they do.
