I trust Chad and crew more than the services... or many other programs...

but just realize that we spent the entire last recruiting season talking about how offers were more important than stars. Now we are putting emphasis on stars of a particular site. Next thing you know, we will be using the excuses I used under June of "he committed early and shut down recruiting, which is why he doesn't have any offers" :).

For what it's worth, our staff's relationships with high school coaches in the region is going to get us a head start on kids that maybe weren't a focal point for a team because of other players who went on to college. I would expect those relationships to pan out on kids that we are introduced to before others, who we get out to camp before people really know who they are. So, I kind of expect so offers and commitments to unknowns early in our recruiting process.

Oh geez-this Class is already closing in on the number of Division 1A offers June's last class had with 9 commits and 8 months before signing date. The last class had I believe over 200 offers way more than every June Jones Class-about 2-3 more than all of June's classes except maybe one which was inflated by about 8 non-qualifiers. We've already got 3 commits with double digits offers and another with 8 offers. I think everybody has legitimate offers and most will get more

Oh geez-Jason's point still stands. Talk offers not stars. I've never seen a guy go so out of his way to purposefully completely miss the point of another poster. Well, except you with respect to Hoopmanx on the basketball board.

Here. I'll go ahead and write your next diversionary post for you.

"I've been on this board since 1972 and have been the only one saying that offers are all that matters."

Congratulations in advance.

Can You Read? Every single sentence of my post was talking about OFFERS. Our commits already have about 55 Division 1A offers as detailed in the 2017 Commitments thread pinned at the Top. I used the word offers 5 times in 4 sentences

HaHa I'm about to get the last laugh on Ponyboy and footballdad's great "Where are the Offers" concern for the direction of the program. See Scout. Highest rated SMU recruit since Death Penalty I believe

Useless suck up statement said by posters at schools at every school. Even at schools that lose every year. People even said that about JJ's worst classes especially you. It's not even the point of weather anyone trust this s staff. All Stallion is doing as a fan is just looking at some information from a fans prospective. I think people are mostly concerned with the height and speed which footballdad pointed out. And that is not an invalid concern and makes good discussion on a message board.

If little Deion was in this class, Stallion would be touting his awesome genetics. :P

Your concern for the direction of the program is noted. Enjoy the plank you've walked out on for one more year

I was simply stating that to make it clear that I wasn't ripping on the staff.

Everyone has acknowledged the direction of the program is up, Morris has done a good job so far, and he's the antithesis of June Jones. You provide a lot of great recruiting info and insight. Just quit whining, going off topic, and acting self-righteous every time a recruiting comment is made that doesn't fit your narrative, or constantly changing targets for successful recruiting.

I know you were not ripping the staff you were ripping some posters for simply looking at some data and giving their options. It's a message board so it is okay to look at other data.

I see Stallion's point as well. Both options might be coming from a different perspective. Nothing wrong with that.

Scratching my head why you called him out for talking about stars?
