Re: Chad not happy post game
I went to the TCU vs OU game yesterday. It was first game I went to in Ft worth since 1989. Gotta say I am jealous of what they have built but at one point about 20 years ago the Frogs and their crowd sucked worse than SMU. If Chad sticks with this program, as bad as it was yesterday, we can be equally good or better than TCU. We will get the 4 to 5 wins as projected this year.

Re: Chad not happy post game
Morris has every right to be upset. That was the worse kickoff to final gun effort by SMU I have witnessed in decades. Defense was totally uninspired to stop Temple. The offense was as bad as anything during the Caven era. Special teams were special in their ability to screw up.
That was a team that was desperate to show it could play well below expectations.
I know injuries have destroyed much of this team but injuries don't destroy effort. There just wasn't the effort shown by the players in general. The receivers dropped too many balls. O line was a sieve. The D front 7 was blown off the ball too many times.
I was very disappointed and for the first time in a very long time mad at the Ponies.

SMU's Chad Morris: 'We at some point have got to get sick and tired of walking into the locker room with this feeling'
"At some point" will be next season, right now this looks like a 2-10 team.

Maybe Chad should take a cold hard look in the mirror? Usually a very bad sign when a coach starts pointing the finger. No responsibility for him and Malone? Haven't they had 2 years to run off all the 'bad apples'? Haven't they had 2 years to 'change the culture'? Isn't a huge part of this roster 'his guys' now?
As multiple people have alluded to, he had no idea what he was getting himself into at SMU. Probably wishes he was on the sideline last night for that epic Clemson win over Louisville.
Really good coaches adapt and overcome. Others point fingers and make excuses. Jury still out on this one. Took a step backward yesterday, and added a cherry on top with the comments.
Made himself look very weak.

I honestly do not know who. He mentioned in his PC that they discussed pulling a couple of redshirts during the game but opted not to.

Re: Chad not happy post game
I just listened to his press conference-there is nothing remarkable in there after this kind of loss.
"Chad Not Happy Post Game"?
Do you want him to be happy after that loss? Should he be happy after that loss?

Kedarious (KD) told me last week that Chad was trying to keep from burning his red shirt, but could make no promises. Of course, he's ready to go, but I'm hoping its next year before he goes in.

That was my thoughts exactly as I watched the game.
Inexplicable why they looked so uninterested in showing any fight.
Still convinced HCCM is on the right track. There is enough flashes to be encouraging.

And youre back...
If he wishes he could be at the sidelines being the Clemson OC then he isnt ready to be a head ball coach anywhere.

He is obviously frustrated and losing some patience. You can tell he's stuggling with his decision to give last year's OL recruits that extra RS year to develop. You know he was more upset than the rest of us watching how pitiful our OL performed yesterday

I'm going to have to disagree with you guys on this one. Chad got to come back to Texas as a HC with a nice paycheck and he is not a guy who is accustomed to losing/failing so my guess is that he will be more determined than ever to turn this thing around. I think he knew it would take 3-4 years to get this program anywhere near where he wants it to be. I still believe in this staff and if I am looking for a silver lining at this point in the season, it is that we are not surprising people with upset wins so hopefully nobody comes after any of our coaches. Continuity is important at this stage.

Money can't buy happiness but I hope his extra cash offsets the stress of games like Temple. He could have been rocking as a cult hero in death valley as Clemson rolls into the college football playoffs...again.

Umm all the fame there isnt going to Venables or Scott and it wouldn't go to Chad. It is all Dabo Swinney, its always about the HC.
