I think Montgomery has to be the clubhouse leader at this point...connected to Briles and the success he had, but not too connected. Also, I doubt that much of the staff will be back

Montgomery has done enough in his short stint at Tulsa to earn him a top 10-15 job currently? Interesting. I'd have to think Fedora has a much better track record and Texas ties all over the place.

Is Baylor a better job than UNC at this point? Fedora could probably get an SEC job in another year or two if he maintains this level of success at Chapel Hill. If Sumlin ever makes the jump to the NFL, Fedora would be a sensible replacment seeing as how he's from College Station

Touché. I don't think Baylor is better. And I'd personally stay away from the gig. But they are currently a Top 10 team in a weak conference and could be pushing the final 4 debate if they get lucky. I don't think it's a better job but I'm sure some do.
