I feel like the extension is to show security for players but really is to bump up the buyout so that we have a nice warchest if Chad gets poached next year. I'm hoping he's here for more than one season but at least going out with what should be a 10-2+ season would still be terrific.

I know, it just seems a little too optimistic and I am always one of the optimists on this board. I simply expect to be bowl eligible so 6-7 regular season wins possibly 8.

Well maybe its a little too optimistic but certainly not unrealistic with our cupcake OOC. I have below 9-3 but I mean I really think if we didn't have the injuries (especially at QB) our schedule and results would have looked a lot different and possibly going bowling. Any of my selections seem unreasonable?

1) SFA - W
2) UNT - W
3) TCU - L (but always can be a win Remember 2011)
4) Arkansas State - W
5) UCF - W
6) UCONN - W
7) Tulane - W
8) Tulsa - W
9) Cincinnati - W
10) Houston - W
11) Memphis - L (trade-off between Houston)
12) Navy - L

at Houston will most likely be a loss. If we indeed face UCONN, UCF, and Cincinnati then it depends on where the games are played. At UCF would be a loss whereas UCF at home should be a win. UCONN should be a win either way. I expect Cincinnati to rebound so it also depends where that game is played. So I would expect 2-1 in cross-divisional play. 3-1 non-conference is definitely expected even though Arkansas State is not a gimme. I see at least 6, likely 7 wins from that schedule maybe 8 if we sweep cross-divisional play.

Fair enough opinion, but I think home games below we could be undefeated. Away I think we get 2 or 3/5

For home and away:
Home: SFA, UNT, Ark State, UCF, UCONN, Tulane, Tulsa
Away: TCU, Cincy, Houston, Memphis, Navy

For the teams we are playing source:

7-5 and bowl. Will be some heart breakers in there. Tulsa, Arky, Cincy, and UCF are all toss ups IMHO.

Houston, Memphis and Navy will all be road games. We will be fortunate to win any of those

Houston losing their coach and our players being as injured as they were took them down this year, I figured it's not that crazy to think we win (maybe not by more than FG or TD). Memphis and Navy, sure I think those games will be tough but I thought the Memphis and Navy game this year were flukes and they got out of hand because of inexperience.
