I'm not saying we are anything like the Big East or anything, but Cincy and UH are good teams, and UCONN, Memphis and Temple are traditionally good basketball schools. Okay, we lost early, but our body of work since Nov has been impressive. We've only lost 4 games!!!!
AAC got no respect but we didn't earn much with our non-conference results. Doesn't matter that we were a different team early. Need to win some games in this tourney but reality is that there will be no easy games for SMU or Cincy and we could both lose our 1st round games. Need to prove the doubters that the AAC was better than everyone thinks. Should be fun
They hosed us but in a gentle way. Driveable game for fans, out of region opponent for first round, opportunity to play Baylor and a Friday draw for rest. Actually like it
1) BPI 19 before end of Cincy game 2) AP 12 before AAC tourney 3) Coaches 15 before AAC tourney 4) RPI 15 5) KenPom 11 (For goodness sakes) 6) Live RPI 13
The committee screwed us and justified it with the "Oh who did you beat" when they should be looking at all the metrics and if something is a tie or close to it then look at the non-statistical information.
Silver linings to another joke from NCAA is:
1) Fans can travel to Tulsa 2) We get to play Baylor assuming we take care of business
Sadly the only negative thing is having to play Duke afterwards and Nova. That I'm not looking forward to.
I'm with you hoop. its like they decided to slot us 6, and tried to think of a way to make it not such an obvious screw job. I would like us to play USC again. Only lost by 5 last time at their place with the albatross.
