A week away from the draft. Between multiple SMU players in the mix and my Mavs #9 pick (please let Dennis Smith Jr. be there) this is the most anticipated draft ever for me.

If Semi gets into the first round, and either Sterling/Ben in the second, this would be a very successful draft that should help SMU in the long run in terms of recruiting.
Looks like Semi did well in the Laker's workout. This link has some of it:

http://www.cbssports.com/nba/news/nba-m ... -at-no-10/Latest mock from Gary Parrish
24. Jazz
Semi Ojeleye, SF, SMU
Ojeleye started his college career at Duke, where he was just a bit player. But the 6-7 forward was tremendous at SMU this season. He averaged 19.0 points and 6.9 rebounds while leading the Mustangs to American Athletic Conference regular-season and tournament titles.
54. Suns
Sterling Brown, SG, SMU
It's hard to believe that SMU has turned into a program that can have multiple draft picks. But Brown's development into a capable guard at the AAC school suggests it's possible.

Ben is the one nobody is talking about. I think teams are hoping to steal him in free agency because of his length and passing ability and are keeping quiet, but I bet someone takes him really late in the second round.
Nic Moore's success in the Italian league his rookie season will have a positive impact on the assessment of SMU players and their ability to transition to the pros.

Per Mike Fisher, the Mavs have both Semi and Sterling on their radar:
"Here is the radar list I’ve been given:
*Bam Adebayo, the 6-10, 260-pound center from Kentucky.
*Luke Kennard, the 6-6, 200-pound shooting guard from Duke.
*Isaiah Hicks, the 6-9, 240-pound forward from North Carolina.
*Josh Hart, the 6-6, 204-pound shooting guard from Villanova.
*Semi Olajeye, the 6-6, 240-pound forward from SMU.
*Sterling Brown, the 6-5-225-pound shooting guard from SMU.
*Luke Kornet, the 7-1, 250-pound big man from Vanderbilt.
None of these names are consideration at No. 9, where Dallas is presently scheduled to pick. But the Mavs view this as a deep draft and are aware of the added value of the ΓÇ£Two-Way 16-17th Men’’ rule that makes deep scouting more important than ever."

Huge week coming up for our program. I'm confident Semi and Sterling get drafted and an outside chance Ben is drafted. ShouldΓÇï get a lot positive pub for SMU Basketball.

Love Ben, but he is not an NBA prospect.
