It's said that while I was looking at that list I realized I didn't even really know what the AAC bowl tie in games were because we have not gone to one as a member of this conference

weird schedule this year-while the schools we play are not as strong-where we play them arguably makes for a tougher schedule especially in the AAC

8 of our 12 opponents went bowling last year.
8 of our 12 opponents are projected to go bowling this year.
4 must wins are SFA, NTSU, UConn & Tulane.
I say we win all for of these games + Ark St. (not a given).
Then go 2-5 against everyone else with wins most likely coming from either Tulsa, Cincy or UCF.
So I predict we go 7-5, having secured a bowl game before our season finale against Tulane, to be played before less than 15k fans if the weather is nice.

if it is for a 7th win and a bowl I am not worried about 15 k. probably won't be above 25 but that is fine at this stage. Dallas is a show me city and they will come up when they know the bandwagon is fun and a likely win. That will take more than a season.
7-5 would be a great start - and as long as Sumlin keeps his job we are ok for a few years.

I'll be happy if we're 2-0 and elated if we're 3-1. We P6ers are gonna own those G5 losers

7 regular season wins is the minimum threshold for this team to have it considered a successful year by fans, outsiders and I believe internally by the team/staff as well. This was evident at the kick-off luncheon yesterday.

most prognosticators have us 5th in the AAC West and many have us at 6-6. You guys get so fixated on your own team and don't pay attention enough to other good teams we play.
Everybody points to things like a few backup transfers as putting us over to top-but what about UH adding 5 P5 transfers including a 5 Star No. 1 QB recruit in the Country who has already started in the SEC. SMU is recruiting well but UH, Memphis, USF and UCF have probably been recruiting better. In fact, I think the "next big thing" might be UCF and most of you chalk that up as a win in Dallas

If I recall the NCAA has done away with the hardship transfer rule so the kid should have to sit for a year. From the post he wrote it sounds as though he is politicking for immediate playing time but the rules should say no.
