Re: Season tickets
I kinda feel bad for you, but not really. You missed the deadline that everyone else seemed to make just fine.
You've also had an ax to grind ever since Moody re-opened.

Oh I'm not looking for anyone's pity. And yes, I have objected strongly to the treatment of the existing fanbase since they reopened Moody. I think it's appalling. But I was raised in a place where you couldn't get away with that, it works differently here. Doesn't mean I have to silently take it in the shorts.

Re: Season tickets
This same thing happened to me....almost!
I had a new email, stopped checking the old email so I missed the "deadline update". I called in to renew my football and asked when I needed to do basketball, they said I missed the deadline and there was nothing that could be done. I tried not to sound like an a-hole and "politely" asked to speak to someone else, luckily they had not opened up the upgrades yet so I barely got them back. At the time, I was furious that I could receive so many calls from various SMU departments asking for money, but then no call saying "hey, we've noticed for the past 17 years you rarely miss a game and always renew your seats, were you not aware that we moved the date for renewal?"
In the end, they were very nice and were able to make mine work, but I feel for you Mustangsabu.

They gona do it again mofo's
Re: Season tickets
Sadly SMU has proven over and over again if somebody is willing to give them more money they will ignore anyone who has actually been supporting the program with their attendance no matter how long.
I realize this is how it works these days but it makes me sick.

The almighty dollar always supersedes loyalty - they need to do this as often as they can. The secondary Market will be extremely inexpensive for those that don't want to play the game. The Frugal mostly haven't gone down in history. Remember my name OTP lol

There were, I believe 8 (maybe 6) separate efforts to communicate. Email snail mail calls.Grant Carter wrote:Does this boil down to you got an email with a deadline and did not reply in time, but you think they should not have held you to the deadline?

I got no call. But to be honest, no matter, the writing was on the wall. They are doing a "reseat" soon. I have no interest in being part of that nonsense.

Re: Season tickets
I got a call to buy tickets last night simply because I mentioned on Ponyfans that I might try to attend some games this year.

It takes work to be miserable about the only good thing about SMU athletics the past few years.

Used to be able to easily park free for SMU basketball games-never had to stand in line to [not] get beer at concessions or go to bathroom-geez I don't miss the good old days
