Before anyone loses too much sleep about this article, remember that there aren't many writers in the country who are more shameless cheerleaders for the teams they cover than Brett Vito is for NTSU. If they were opening against Alabama, he'd write that they should beat the Crimson Tide, too.

I don't understand all the "Chad left a mess" comments. Morris was the 1st post death penalty coach who was actually hired away for a better job. The rest either "resigned" or were let go because they couldn't build and/or sustain a competitive program. We will find out this year what kind of shape Morris left the program in, but it was clearly not the mess he inherited. The bottom line in all of this is that UNT is a much improved program and we are facing a road game under a new coaching staff. I would be thrilled if we handled UNT easily but I expect this to be a really challenging opener for the Sonny Dykes era.

2. Unless we are JJ disciples and have "penciled-in" a loss, we should expect to win.
