Cancelled my trip, partially for work reasons, and partially because I just don't want to waste a weekend away from the family just to see us get destroyed.

If anyone booked this trip in the offseason with the idea that we would win or be competitive, you were kidding yourself.
This trip is a chance to visit an iconic college football venue and have a fun weekend in a great college town. What happens on the field is irrelevant to all of that.

I predict a larger SMU showing at Michigan than UNT.

Something is very wrong with this reality/mentality.

not really. smu fans do not care about nor want to play unt. its a lose lose for us. smu higher ups do not get it. shocking I know. smu wants to be associated with the best but is not willing to do the things that will get us there. I give you the last 30 years for evidence. we have floundered for 30 years and will flounder for the next 30 years. smu simply does not care to compete in football. can anyone give me evidence to the contrary.

Halfway tempted to come to the game with a hurricane working its way toward DC. However, I might not be able to get back. So, alas, I'll be stuck here with my candles lit, my grill fired up and a cooler full of beer.

since 1989 we have averaged 4 wins a season. for the last 5 and 10 years we have averaged 5 wins a season.
our glory days were in the early 80s when we averaged 10 wins a season.
since 1989 we have had 7 one win seasons.
we are looking at another possible one win season.

We are in section 8, row 90. Just wanted to make sure that is the SMU section. Where is everybody else?
I am gonna wear red. Can't wait to see our boys at such a historic venue. Get your cameras ready!

Coming down from Toronto. I have a cousin at the business school right now so sitting with some family in the student section, but if anyone has some Pony-centric tailgate info please post it.
