Possible forecast of rain for the Navy game. Seems like rain has become the normal for this rivalry. Navy always wins when it rains and this will be no different on Saturday. Only hope for SMU is to start Brown and let his runs take some time off the clock to help the D and take pressure off a passing attack that has not had a good success rate in bad weather.

Unfortunately, I haven't seen the defense really step up all year. Playing against the Navy option is just not in our wheelhouse. Has any team used a 3/4 with a 4 safety set against them. Their wideouts aren't crazy fast. That way cornerbacks don't get blown away by a pulling guard or tight end.
As for the offense. If its PickHicks, we'll be down by 4 touchdowns before you can say "go". If its Brown, we'll see how he manages the team for a whole game and how many freshman mistakes he makes.

Defense has been playing better and better through each of the first three games. At times they were solid last week. And we get Nelson and Wyatt back.
