Re: Chad Morris Fired

Post by Insane_Pony_Posse »

If he wants to rest a year or two I would assume his contacts within the football fraternity will give him "interviews" so he can cover the clause that he is looking for work. The longer he lays low it may make it harder to come back, if he even wants to come back. Must be nice to fail and have someone pay you ten million dollars. Not a bad gig if you can get it. Isn't Cal still covering some of Sonny's salary?

Chad will be a bargain offensive coordinator for someone because of the offset clause. I would not expect him to be looking for another HC position but who knows what's in his head. He could end up at some CUSA or SunBelt or even FCS program with Chandler in tow as one of their future QBs. His team at Arkansas clearly quit on him and I suspect some on that roster NEVER bought what he was selling from day one. I remember thinking his 1st meeting with his team was really embarrassing

The player reaction to Morris being fired, was, well....

let's just call it 'one-sided.'

Arkansas lawyers have to be working overtime to find any type of an out in one of their former coaches contracts, or UA will be paying 3 head coach salaries next year...

How would Arkansas fans feel about consecutive SMU coaches? Especially given how the last one turned out...

If we lose Sonny this season - and I don't think we will - I doubt it will be to Arkansas.

Arkansas fans here think all they need to do is throw a bunch of money at Urban Meyers and he will come. They are very unrealistic.

If Sonny Dykes ever leaves, it will be for the NFL. These guys realize that jumping from college to college is a bad idea. (Unless maybe Tech for a lot of money or Notre Dame comes along.)
