It is one thing to quit and take a better job. I get that. Going to the arch rival makes it worse, but still, if it a better opportunity/fit for you, I get it. Gutting the program and tearing down the university's team that gave you an opportunity, paid you well for the last few years, and offered you a huge raise, is unforgivable.
