I really hope the team is completely focused on the task at hand. We can lose 1 more game but it can't be to East Carolina.

How does that work? Seems to me if we lose only one more game - I don’t care who it’s to - we are in. Obviously, especially if you’re including the conference tourney.

Would love to get a 12 seed and be in one of those play in games. Would be a good matchup and provide an opportunity to advance and play a 5 seed. Plenty of 12 vs 5 "upsets" and it seems to happen almost every year

The strategic scheduling of the game at Dayton last season might end up being brilliant.

xc probably figures SMU can't afford any losses outside of Quad One and he might be right. AAC will get multiple teams into the NIT but could be a one bid league to the NCAA if SMU finishes poorly. Meanwhile, Memphis is giving Houston fits today...in Houston where the Cougs haven't lost yet

A Memphis win and an SMU win and guess who is in first place.

And we are now at the top of the conference. Beat Temple and lets get the Moody crazies out for memphis next weekend.

Temple is the key, Memphis is the talk of the conference, and rightly so, after winning 5 in a row and ending Houston's 37 home winning streak.
With their pedigree and high profile coaching staff, they are the darlings now. That's ok, we just need to take care of business at Temple, then set up the scenario to beat them again.
Then we are the talk of the conference.
It is there for us, just need to execute.
Go Ponies!
Probaly won't happen...BUT...maybe it will!!

And that means move the ball, find the open guy and keep draining threes at a high percentage

I would not be surprised if we lose to Memhphis, cougar high and one other game. That will likely leave us in the 'participation trophy' tourney. Hope I am wrong but don't think we can continue to live by making the '3s' against good defensive teams.

Re: NCAA Bracketology
Serious question for those in the know. Aren't we better off not re-scheduling Wichita at home? Who makes that decision - the ADs?
Does it really help us in any way? Seems like cramming it into the schedule at this point would only hurt performance in another already scheduled game that we will need to win.
I suppose that a split with Memphis or Houston at end of year could create a scenario where we would want this game for possible conference title and AAC tourney seeding.
