Especially with the notable size difference, Mustangs have to get to the free throw line more. Through 14:11, SMU has taken just 2 FTs

Didn't say that. Of course there are. But when 3s aren't falling and we're not getting to the line, it's an uphill battle against teams with a big size advantage

FG percentages aren't hugely different — WSU shooting 38.2% and SMU shooting 30.4% — but because of 26-11 margin in rebounds, Cougars have taken 11 more field goal attempts

They are not even trying to get offensive rebounds.
They are not in position to get defensive rebounds.
