by most accounts, Tanner has made significant strides this fall. So much so that it was an obvious decision that he would be the starter. Preston's time will come, but some of you will be surprised by the new and improved Tanner.

We all have to remember that Tanner will be playing with several new offensive linemen, receivers and RBs not to mention a new offensive coaching staff. Definitely helpful to have an experienced guy who will now be playing for his 3rd different coaching staff. Very encouraging if he looks comfortable in camp and let's just hope it translates to a fast start for this year's offense. Also keep in mind that SMU will open AT UNT. Road games are always tough and UNT will have already played a game against UTEP to open their season a week ahead of our guys. They should not be taken for granted but having said that, I sure hope we smoke them and Preston gets to play the 4th quarter
