This was a pretty good game until the 1st TV timeout and then Memphis' talent took over. Sure hope Lanier can find significant upgrades with the 4 seniors moving on and opening up those 'ships for next year

Since then, he's scoreless on 0-for-5 shooting.
To be fair, he's also taking a beating when he goes in to the lane.
They are letting 'em bang tonight and that spells advantage Memphis

Jalen Smith with a 3 and a 2, closing the gap to 38-31.

Davis with a 3, turns around to tell the Mustangs about it.

Davis gets decked while putting up a shot at the buzzer, and ... expresses his displeasure at the no-call.

He must have said some magic words, because he get a very quick technical foul. Teammates ushered him away to the locker room and head coach Penny Hardaway jumped in to argue (protecting Davis from the chance of picking up a second).

HALFTIME
Memphis 50, SMU 37

Officials taking ages reviewing Odigie foul ... which has now been upgraded to a Flagrant 1.

Memphis's DeAndre Williams hits both free throws, Tigers get possession, leading 52-39
