Great weekend for SMU and all of college football. Guess that B12 patch doesnΓÇÖt make you invincible.

WV lost to PSU. BYU beat SHS 14-0. OU pummeled Ark St. 73-0. Hopefully, theyΓÇÖll be lulled into a feeling of invincibility. UNC pulled away from So. Car.
UNC better keep that Ram away from Peruna

Definitely a tough opening weekend for our former SWC mates now members of the Big XII with TCU, Baylor and Tech all losing. At least Tech has the "road game" excuse because it is tough to win on the road in college football (home teams have gone 79-11 so far this year). Houston and UTSA have played some really tough games the last 2 seasons and Houston came away with 2 really hard earned wins. Both Tulane and UTSA are going to be tough as Tulane handled S. Alabama (an up and coming team) easily. I hope SMU meets the winner of their game in the AAC Championship game this year. OU game should tell us if this SMU team is ready to compete at that level.

I am married to an FSU grad...she is sweating out tonight's game, and I am rooting for the 'Noles as future conference mates as well as keeping the peace in my domicile...especially since they are playing that accent-appropriating insult to anything Cajun, Brian Kelly.

31-17 Florida State...Happy wife (so far) and all that...

FSU and UNC both had impressive wins in their opening games against very worthy opponents. Should be an interesting race in this year's ACC as I would expect Clemson to join those 2 as teams capable of beating anyone in the country on any given day. We are going to need to continue to upgrade our roster and up our game. Should get a better idea about our current talent level in Norman this week

Duke leads!

By the way, yΓÇÖall will enjoy trips to Derm (thatΓÇÖs how we pronounce ΓÇ£DurhamΓÇ¥). Great food scenery and Wade is an updated but historic bowl.
