I agree there are two paths both involve winning out and by the way, CAL is a trap game tonight at 10 p.m. Central Time.
Yep, literally no one said winning the ACC tournament is impossible. (Though mustang1992 almost certainly meant to say that.)
If we end the regular season without a Q1 win, I would not be scheduling any NCAA watch party.

100% agree. Which is why I'm astounded by people saying it's a good bracket if we have zero Q1 opportunities before Duke.

Third team out. Win out and win two in the tourney and that should be fine. But a rather tall order.

I just hope we don't implode like last year where we lost 6 of our last 7, with our 1 win coming in OT vs a terrible ECU team.

It was set up perfectly for them make the dance with Wake and Clemson at Moody, but they just haven't had the ability to beat a team above them. Their toughest conference games except for the Tar Heels have been at home and they whiffed on all of them. I'm sorry for the seniors, but I think the NIT is where they belong unless they shock the world in the ACC tourney.

ItΓÇÖs exhausting to watch a game and every 2 minutes they have to remind us where Joe Lunardi has us ranked in the field for the tournament. ESPN has become a beating.

Wake lost again, to UVa. SMU is alone in fourth; Wake and uNC are tied for fifth. If SMU can stay at 4 and get uNC at 5, thatΓÇÖs a great result. But Wake has the tiebreaker over uNC so needs to keep losing.

ItΓÇÖs crazy that Wake lost to Florida State at home before our game, and then gone on to lose at NC State and Virginia at home. It was the first game without Boopie, but that should have been a win at Moody.

I agree 100%. That's why I usually just listen to Rich and Scott broadcast on SiriusXM.

Wake still has to play Duke, so they are going to lose at least one more.
I would say that if we win out and then win our first tournament game, most likely against North Carolina, then we are in even if we lose to Duke. We would finish the season with a high net ranking, a top four ACC conference finish, and a 25-8 record. That resume is solid even without a quad one win. Of course there will be other factors, such as tournament upsets, but I feel good about our chances by winning out until Duke for an at large bid. Of course we could also just beat Duke and take all doubt away or even better, win the tourney!

Beating uNC will be a Quad 1 win, if it happens.

Good point!
Hopefully Carolina can squeeze into that 5th spot and we can get a rematch.
Need to take care of business at Stanford tomorrow.

I would MUCH MUCH rather play Wake than UNC.

If youΓÇÖre solely thinking about whether SMU wins, sure. But beating Wake will count for zip in terms of NCAA qualification, while beating uNC will matter.
