No more MSG in NYC. Final Four is now in Indianapolis but hope we get there. Would be nice for Harris to finish his college career in that building

Another factor could be the tournament FOX is putting on in Vegas towards the end of March Madness. My guess is you will see several teams from conferences that have deals with FOX. Possibly WVU, TCU, Cincy & UCF from the Big XII and Xavier, Villanova and Georgetown from the Big East. There are some regular season conference champions from mid-majors that are not playing in the NIT so they might also get invited to that tournament?
With home court advantage, hopefully SMU will make it to Indianapolis but let's not kid ourselves about the strength of this NIT field. Remember that this SMU team only beat one ACC team with a winning record in conference play and we split with them (Stanford). There are a lot of 20 win teams in this field (4 in our bracket of 8 and 25 of the 32 teams). It would be impressive to win 5 in a row against this level of competition.

The Las Vegas tourney referenced above is the
College Basketball Crown.
https://www.foxsports.com/college-baske ... ball-crown
The Crown includes schools with a good basketball pedigree that under-performed this season. Here are some of the big names: Georgetown (17-15), Villanova (19-14), Cincinnati (18-15), and DePaul (14-19).
Of the 16 teams, only 3 had 20 or more wins: Boise State (24-10), George Washington (21-12), and Oregon State (20-12). 5 had losing seasons.
This writer said the Crown "gutted the NIT." I don't see it.
