that offense has been good at controlling the ball and giving their defense a chance to rest their legs (also keeping the other offense off the field), something that is not even a stated goal of our offense.

PJ has no idea on the defensive side of the ball. His biggest problem was that he never gave a damn about defense. If you recall his Navy defense surrendered more than 60pts to NTSU last year.

In defense of Stallion on the PJ subject, imagine a triple option SMU team with our running backs. We have a converted TE as our leading RB. We would have absolutely no chance for a decade or so with a triple option coach.

You realize don't you that we are now headed for our 9th YEAR of winning 2 or less games post-DP
None of the other 9 years have been hyped like this one

for SMU fans it is been pretty much nothing but kicks in the nuts for the last 20 years.............

keep in mind that when his offense has been average it has been because his starting QB is hurt. the 2nd stringer is terrible.

How many times has a JJ defense not given up at least 400 yards of offense this year to the opponent?

Astute followers like you should have been more wary....especially after the hype last season.
That is for 03Mustang

Should have stuck with JWill... Not only have we wasted a season anyway figuring out that Blow Levi isn't a good QB, we have probably lost pontential recruits for the future.

seriously. but give Navy more credit than that. they are near the top in nation rushing-wise. north texas community college just sucks.

Butler, Lee, and Lunday would be great speed backs, and Martin, if he would get his shoulders down, could be a great power back. If Martin didn't work out, McKinney could do that job. JW, with his tendency to run with the ball and adequate throwing arm, would be quite a weapon.
What would scare me most is the offensive line.
