I believe it was Nic's first late 3-long pass to Tolbert who barely reaches the ball but somehow gets it to Ben near the baseline who also extends but whips it out to I believe Shake Milton who then finds Nic for the wide open 3. Great Ball Movement by all 3 in a tough sequence
That play was the most unbelievable of the night in my opinion. That ball should have been (a) out of bounds off Tolbert's hands, (b) out of bounds off of Ben when receiving from Tolbert, or (c) stolen while Ben was still trying to collect it. The fact that it was a made 3 pointer instead of any of those 3 was miraculous. I think it was a reckless decision to pass that far downcourt to a guy that wasn't that open that just happened to work in our favor last night.

When Nic hit that first three to cut the lead to two, did anyone doubt we were going to find some way to pull that game out?

Nope. Moody Magic was on.

Nic Moore is the least appreciated player in college basketball. Would be a cult hero if he played at Ohio State or Michigan. So clutch.
If he played at Duke Dickie V would be dead of priapism.

I was impressed by that Cincy D. They were on us all game and were extremely active. That has to be the toughest we have faced this year.

What has really impressed me as I rewatch the game in the office (thank God I am the only one in today) is that SMU won even though it was a classic Cinci game. Tough defense, low scoring. Says a lot about our guys to be able to win a game like that.

You're right, Terry. That was such a Cincinnati type game.
I was wondering why I saw several North Dakota St fans at Moody last night. Just heard they are playing in the division 2 championship game tomorrow in Frisco. It's cool SMU basketball (Moody) is now a sports fan destination. They got a helluva show.

I watched Larry on the bench last night and he was really getting frustrated that we weren't being aggressive to break the one. They played a 1-3-1. The last two games we have played pretty poorly against the zone. Probably is going to continue to be an impact of being short players at practice. I think it would probably be worth grabbing some of the football players just to play defensively at practice and be able to simulate zone looks with athleticism.

Also, teams have figured out our lob pass on the inbound play. We had about three TOs last night and couple against USF on inbound throws.

That will get us beat if they do not fix it quickly.

I haven't looked at the film but instinct tells me there's a second option on those plays that we aren't ever using for some reason
